Valerie Gastaldy - DayByDay (France)
Valerie has been using technical analysis
since 1985. Her classical financial training at
ESSEC
Business
School proved very disappointing and insufficient to anticipate financial
markets.
As a derivative prop trader, she focused early
on relations between implied volatility and prices, and market speed. Her
research field is consensus, with a special effort on objective measures for
crowd psychology, and how they compare to subjective measures as polls.
She is today acting as General Manager at DayByDay in
Paris, the leading European technical analysis research house.
Her 2009 Buy/Sell recommendations on European
equities awarded her the Best European Equity research rank amongst all
bulge-bracket fundamental analysts, as assessed by AQ Research.
